The Bridal Veil Falls area of prospect park
Prospect Park's small Bridal Veil Falls area encompasses a few dozen houses, apartment buildings, townhomes and businesses south of I-94 and north of SE Franklin Avenue. It's named for the waterfall and short creek that empty into the Mississippi River just below the Franklin Avenue Bridge. While the area's natural character has been dramatically altered by civil engineering, the falls and creek are still visible from the paths along River Gorge Park.
The waterfall's source is a largely underground creek originating in the Southeast Minneapolis Industrial Area. A street named Bridal Veil Circle intersects SE Kasota Ave just west of State Highway 280 and is adjacent to the creek when it is above ground.
