The south of franklin area of prospect park
The South of Franklin Area ("SOFA") is neatly situated in the triangle created by Franklin Avenue to the north, I-94 to the southwest and St. Paul to the east. While just a stone's throw from St. Paul's western border across SE Emerald Avenue, the area is predominantly residential, made up of single-family homes, low-density apartment buildings and some notable landmarks—including a Russian Orthodox Church and a residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
Because of its triangular shape, "South of Franklin" area could just as easily be called "Wright Angle"!
The area has a community garden in the Franklin Oval and a recreational area called Chergosky Park at the foot of Seymour Avenue.
