ppa Monthly neighborhood Meetings

Most meetings are held in the Prospect Park United Methodist Church (PPUMC). These are public meetings and all are welcome! Meetings dates are shown below; typically taking place on the 4th Monday of a month.

As of January 22nd, 2024, meetings will usually be hybrid, giving participants the opportunity to attend in-person or virtually online. (During the COVID-19 pandemic meetings were only held virtually.)  To attend in-person at PPUMC, walk up the wooded ramp located at far-left (East) side of building to the 2nd level meeting room.

The combined Board and Community Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. The meeting agenda, location, and a link to request a virtual meeting invitation is published in PPA's newsletter at least five days before the meeting. Meeting agendas are set by Management Council at least one week before Board/Community meetings, typically Mondays at 7pm.

Notes:

• The Board can act without meetings (see PPA bylaws) by voting electronically using PPA’s approved online form.

• The 4th Mondays in Feb, April, July, and/or August are available for Community Meetings.

Meeting Schedule for 2027:

• June 21st (hybrid), 7pm - Regularly Scheduled Board Business. Newly elected board members seated. Officers elected. a
• May 1st - 10:30am, Annual Meeting & Board Member election (in person) This is PPA’s “Neighborhood Day” event.
• March 22nd (hybrid), 7pm - Regularly Scheduled Board Business. Board recruitment and Annual Meeting update. Approve PPCLF grant applications. Approve NCR annual report approved.
• January 25th (hybrid), 7pm - Regularly Scheduled Board Business. Approve Good Neighbor Fund grant applications. Review yearend financial reports. Approve annual budget. Approve MN Annual Charitable Report and IRS From 990. Approve Community Partnership grant applications, if any.

• October 26th (hybrid), 7pm - Regularly Scheduled Board Business. Approve 2027 Equitable Engagement application (due to NCR October 30th). Present 3rd quarter financial statements.
• September 28th Board & Committee Chair Potluck (in-person) [location TBD]
• June 22nd (hybrid), 7pm - Regularly Scheduled Board Business. Newly elected board members seated. Officers elected. Revise PPA budget if needed. Board orientation.
• May 2nd - Annual Meeting & Board Member election (in-person)
