MinNEAPOLIS 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Help inform Minneapolis' future!
What do you think Prospect Park should look like in 20 years?
The City of Minneapolis is working to form their 2040 Comprehensive Plan, which is how the City sets goals and a road map to achieve over that period of time. They are working with neighborhood associations to help engage with residents, but the Prospect Park Association wants to go a little deeper. In the past, when PPA has done outreach, very specific goals were laid out--many of which have been achieved by both the City and by neighbors.
Three open-house style events are being held in September just to listen to what residents and workers in Prospect Park want. In October, three more sessions will be held to present what PPA heard from all of the neighbors at the September sessions. The organizers from PPA will then consolidate the information and submit a report to the City's Community Planning and Economic Development Department (CPED) for use in crafting the Minneapolis 2040 plan.
What all this means is: your voice matters. Please attend a meeting to give your thoughts, or just to get caught up on all of the activity happening along the major corridors in Prospect Park. If you are unable to make a meeting, please fill out this brief survey so we can collect some thoughts from as many people as possible. Refreshments will be served!
Interpreters for Somali, Hmong, and Oromo languages will be available at the September 14th meeting, but can be arranged for the other meetings if requested in advance by calling (612-767-6531) or emailing Jessica.
