The Glendale committee was formed to bridge the gap in the absence of the Glendale Residents Council which had not been meeting since 2012. Work dealt with the proposed demolition or rehabilitation of the Glendale Townhomes.

As of 2016, the committee has been inactive in part because much of the work has been assumed by the Defend Glendale neighborhood group.
