PROSPECT PARK garden walk & PLANT SALE 2018
(Saturdays usually the third week in June on various streets in the neighborhood;
Plant Sale at different areas in the neighborhood.)
The 2018 Garden Walk and Plant Sale will take place from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2018 around the theme of Garden Melodies. Listen for musical offerings at some of the gardens! The selection of public and private gardens will showcase both well-established and new gardens including pollinator, vegetable, and therapeutic gardens. The 2018 Garden Walk route will focus on the north east part of the neighborhood in the area north of SE Franklin Ave, south of SE University Ave, and centered on SE Melbourne, SE Orlin, SE Clarence, and SE Seymour Avenues.

The Prospect Park Garden Club identifies interesting and exceptional gardens in the neighborhood and organizes a self-guided walk to view them all in one afternoon.
The tours features a variety of public and private gardens that showcase both well-established and new gardens including pollinator, vegetable, and therapeutic gardens.
Location maps and descriptions of the featured gardens will be available around June 16 on the Prospect Park Website as well as Dunn Brothers coffee shop (next to the Westgate light rail station), Fresh Thyme Farmers Market grocery store in The Link (next to the Prospect Park light rail station), Metro Petro, Schneider Drugstore, the Textile Center, and T-Rex Cookie. You can also pick up a map on the day of the walk at the Plant Sale.

Plant sale
The Plant Sale will take place at Tower Park from 10 am to 3 pm. It will include perennial and annual flowers, foliage, fruit and vegetable plants and shrubs. This is a fundraiser for the Prospect Park Garden Club and the neighborhood programs the Garden Club supports, including the pocket park plantings and buckthorn eradication throughout Prospect Park, and Pratt Community School.
